Somewhere between a provocative artistic object and research artefact – Blo-Nut was designed and made to explore novel robotic behaviours.

The intention was to create a soft social robot that could demonstrate and explore alternatives to the human and ‘cute’ pet mimicking expressions more commonly associated with social robots.

The work won an honorary mention at DIS’2018 conference:
